Winchester Model 1886 lever action rifle, .45-90 WCF caliber, Serial #20243. The rifle is in very good overall condition with a 26” round barrel with a full-length magazine. The barrel and magazine retain approximately45-55% thinning blue finish with the remainder drifting to grey patina. The loading gate and bolt show significant original blue finish. The receiver is silvered case hardening with brighter colorsstill visible on the hammer, lever and bottom tang. The smooth wood stocks are in good condition with small mars and compressions. The butt stock has had an extra coat of varnish added and ends with a steel crescentbutt plate. The bore is bright and the action is crisp on this most acceptable early Model 1886 in the potent .45-90 WCF cartridge, circa 1888. The lot includes a Winchester factory letter confirming allfeatures and indicating the rifle was shipped from the warehouse under order number 10788 on August 10, 1888, with a total of two rifles in shipment. Buyer pays all shipping including packaging, insurance 2% of invoice shipping and all duties and all fees. We ship Federal Express, we can not ship to PO Boxes. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
