Carl Eickhorn Late 1st pattern WWII German Nazi Army dagger. The blade is in excellent condition showing bright finish with crisp markings, “ORIGINAL EICKHORN SOLINGEN” with an acid etched squirrel holding a bladesymbol. The blade shows no signs of sharpening with little wear with a crisp double beveled steel blade. The nickel silver plated pommel, cross guard and scabbard with oak leaf relief are in nearexcellent condition still showing toning silver finish. The burnt orange Bakelite grip is outstanding as are the eagle and swastika on the cross guard. The scabbard is in excellent condition as well with thecorrect Army portepee, in excellent condition as well. From the noted dealer, Thomas Wittman, this dagger is a solid 9.5 on a scale of 1-10.
