Mounted series of Albumen photographs of Lake Superior Powder Company Works used as promotion or advertiser. Measures 27 ¼” x 30 ½” to outside of period frame and 21 ¼” x 24 ¼” inside dimensions. Lake Superior PowderCo. was located in Marquette, Michigan. The date is estimated at 1868 and the factory was designed by Col. Scott Olin. The photos are titled “Interior Glazemill”, “Exterior of Refinery” “Tramway to Press Mill”, “StockHouse”, “Office”, “and Tramway to Wheel Mill”, “Mixing and Wheel Mill”, “Interior Cooper Shop”, “Interior of Refinery Wheel Mill”. A very modern facility for its time. The condition is good with some fading andnatural age. See April 2008 “Gun Report” ad on page 71 where it is priced at $4,750. The estate of Eric Vaule. Buyer pays all shipping including packaging, insurance 2% of invoice shipping and all duties and all fees. We ship Federal Express, we can not ship to PO Boxes.
