Winchester Model 1894 lever action rifle, .25-35 caliber, Serial #375344. The rifle is in good overall condition with a 26” octagon barrel with a full-length magazine. The front sight is a period Sheard knife bladeand the rear is a newer buckhorn style. The magazine is also a period replacement with a barrel band for swivel added. The metal surfaces have gone to grey patina with some muted blue in the protected areas of thereceiver and light surface rust at the muzzle. The markings are sharp and there is toned case hardening still evident on the hammer and lever. The smooth wood stocks are in good condition showing heavy use withdents and mars. The butt stock ends with a smooth steel crescent butt plate showing light surface rust. A sling swivel has been added at the butt. The bore is dark with moderate pitting and the action functions onthis Winchester circa 1906. This rifle would improve significantly with a little TLC. Est.: $600-$1,200. (C+R).
