U.S. Springfield Trapdoor model 1878 rifle, .45-70 caliber, Serial #401858. The rifle is in very good overall condition with a replacement stock, 29 ½” barrel and correct military ladder rear sight. The metalsurfaces have gone to a grey patina with muted case hardening still visible on the breech block and tang. The smooth wood stock is a replacement in good condition with small mars and compressions with slingswivels and ram rod. The rifle includes U.S. marked socket bayonet in good condition. The bore is fair and the markings are crisp. Est.: $350-$700. (Antique).

Buyer pays all shipping including packaging, insurance 2% of invoice shipping and all duties and all fees. We ship Federal Express, we can not ship to PO Boxes. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
