A Rare And Highly Desirable Colt New Pocket Model Revolver Serial Number 74 For 1893. 2 ½ inch barrel. 32 short Colt. Only 449 Colt New Pocket revolvers were made in 1893 and they are rare. Serial number 471 was acquired by Caldwell H. Colt. Serial number 74 stamped clearly on butt, frame, and crane. Colt gutta percha grips are excellent, original and not chipped or worn. Grip screw has its niter blue and is untouched.Condition is fine with much original bluing on frame, drifting on cylinder and barrel. Action is crisp and bore is excellent. All antique two digit Colt revolvers are rare by their very nature and highly collectible. The New Pocket was Colt’s first small frame swingout cylinder revolver and #74 was from the earliest production. Estimate: 2000-4000
