20 shot Double Action Revolver showing “Belgium proofs and initials “H.D.H.” on the left bottom of the frame most likely French patent. The cylinder indexes in a staged manner allowing the hammer to fire 1 shotfrom either the top of bottom of 2 firing pins into either the top or bottom barrel with which they are aligned. This pistol is of deluxe grade most likely made for promotional or exhibition purposes. Thedouble action revolver shows an original nickel finish with jeweled hammer and trigger and is mounted with pearl grips. The left side of the barrel is period inscribed in block letters “Mitraleuse H.D.H. LiegeBelgique, Cal 32 Long S& W, Julio Viaminck Representante Guatemala”. The condition is fine to excellent retaining 99%+ original nickel and no evidence of firing showing bright fire blue on firing pins.
