French style double barrel flintlock pistol circa 1790-1820 probably made for an officer in Napoleonic era. Measures 12 3/8” overall with a 6 ¾” barrel of approximately .600-.62 caliber smoothbore. The barrels are set back2”-4” during period of use and brass fore end cap added. Lightly cleaned bright metal with minor scattered pitting. Correct flintlock parts and original flint. Steel correct type ramrod. The locks are working but left cockjumping off and occasionally does not hold and needs adjustment. Double flints are always desirable. (Antique) Est.: $800-$1600
