Butterfield Army Model Revolver in .41 caliber with 5 shots considered secondary martial from Civil War era circa 1861-62 and 1 of about 640 produced, S/N A59 on the rammer (Refer Flayderman 7A-017). Thisrevolver shows a good quality old refinish on the barrel, cylinder rammer, and small parts. The frame is pristine as are the grips. The primer feed is complete with spring and follower and is original. Theaction and mechanism is working well and the bore and interior shows little to no use. We have been familiar with this Butterfield over 40 years and several major collector’s acquired it as the frame and grip conditionare superior and although the finish has been restored this pistol was excellent to begin with and hard to improve.
