German Imperial Officer’s Sword with fancy etched and blued blade inscribed “Mag D Hus. RGT. No 10” and showing a portrait of Hussar or Dragoon with horse head and fancy scrolls and “W.K.C Solingen” maker’s marks. Thereverse shows a cavalry regiment in action with stands of arms and scrolls. The blade is near fine with slight aging and no cleaning. The top of the throat is engraved with soldier’s name “Schreiber” and “5E-101”. Thescabbard and hilt show most uncleaned nickel plate with minor rust and erosion. The composite grip is very good. Folding guard shows Imperial eagle. An authentic and desirable sword.
