Springfield Model 1847 Cavalry Musketoon Dated 1851 in .69 caliber Percussion with a 26” barrel remaining in very good plus original condition. The swivel ramrod has been removed and replaced with the standardtype. The lock marking and eagle is crisp with most of its original bright arsenal finish showing aging and a rust spot or two at the muzzle. No saddle ring bar on the left. Very good plus to near fine woodstamped “27” on the rear of the comb and two cartouches. The action is crisp. A nice example. A strong 8.5 on a 1-10 scale with condition. (Antique) Est.: $2000-$4000
