French Late 18th century flintlock fowler signed “Chasteau Paris” on the lock with Spanish barrel showing hallmark of Royal maker Nicholas B. S. Silver mounts with fine pierced side plate with raised oval showingFrench Royal crest of 7 pointed crown with 3 fleur di lis. Moroccan style red leather cheek piece and butt plate of the era. All original flintlock parts and works well. Considerable original blue on the barrel.Raised carved at the tang and around the fore end at 1st Ferrell. Nicely stocked in good quality wood showing fiddleback stripes in the fore end. About 16GA with refined styling throughout. Measures 54” overall with a 38½” barrel.
