English Flintlock Rifle by W. Parker showing English engraved silver mounts and a nice chiseled barrel with form of tiger that is gold inlaid at the muzzle and typical Indian style of 19th century. Measures 45 ½” overall with a 29” barrel. The refined and finely made “Waterproof” lock shows English engraving with all original parts. There is engraved silver border around the lock and silver matching escutcheons around two-barrel keys that match pierced side plate, trigger guard, butt plate, ferrel and ramrod tip. .50-5.5 caliber hand cut rifle bore. The metal condition is very good and silver is crisp with well-defined engraving. The stockhas been refreshed and lightly refinished. The type arm supplied to Raja’s and nobles of India who added their native decorations and designs. English locks were favored. (Antique) Est.: $500-$1000
