Highly decorated and diminutive size flintlock fowler probably Austrian or German circa early 19th century. Measures 49” overall with nearly 36” barrel of approximately 20GA weighing on 3.75 lbs. Thelock is chiseled in relief with scenes of hunter, dog and game surrounded by scrolls. The stock is finely carved with another hunter and dog shooting a Hapsburg style eagle in a tree, the reverse side of thestock shows finely carved roses at each end of the cheek piece and around tang. The center of the cheek piece shows a crown and shield in silver. All original flintlock parts and circa 1790s-1830s. The barrel shows most of its original blue with minor light beginning rust and erosion. Lock has colored from its original bright slightly with crisp chiseled figures and all original flintlock parts. The stock is crisp and the arm is near fine condition overall. Lock works perfectly and tight. All small parts retained and correct style ramrod. (Antique) Est.: $1750-$3500
