Virginia manufacture flintlock military rifle (2nd model) marked “Richmond 1821” at the rear of lock. Reconverted back to flintlock with good quality restoration overall. Tag #1 from the Fred Slayton confederate armscollection and last sold by Little Johns in the early 1990s. Rifling is bored or shot out to about .52 caliber from original .50 with no trace of rifling remaining. Some scattered pitting and erosion with light but visiblelock markings.
