Rare and fine quality Wheelock rifle made with offset stock for right handed shooter to use left eye. Dated 1632 showing two maker’s stamps and initials “S” and “S” or “S H” and signed on the inlay behind the tang “C Z”.The lock is finely engraved with gold gilt wheel cover and cast and gilt ornament joining hammer screws. The stock shows good quality bone inlays carved with classic acorn and fruit motifs with bear on patch boxdoor. The cheek piece has a panel engraved “R A H Z B V L A” cypher. The ramrod is a correct style replacement. The metal surfaces have been lightly cleaned but remain sharp and crisp and not “Rubbed Out”. The stock isvery good with minor losses, small repairs and aging with a few worm holes in belly beneath the lock. In 52 years we have seen 2 other offset Wheelock rifle which were not for sale. Buyer pays all shipping including packaging, insurance 2% of invoice shipping and all duties and all fees. We ship Federal Express, we can not ship to PO Boxes. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
