Eastern European Tsinke style wheelock with period inlaid stock. Typical outside spring with light floral engraving. Measures 46” overall with 32” octagon barrel and typical lightweight. The stock is nicely inlaid withfigures of angel playing mandolin, mystic beasts, game and geometric figures along with fancy scrolls and varying size dots inlaid in both bone and pearl. The patch box door is not inlaid but shows matching bone at therear to inlays and probably the original. The condition is very good plus with minor erosion and pitting on the metal. The wood is very good and there has been minor well done restoration replacing some inlays andferrells plus cleaning to wood. Circa about 1590-1640 from the area of Silesia East to Czechoslovakia, Hungary, and Poland. (Antique) Est.: $5,000-$10,000
