Pair of high-quality horseman’s size miquelet flintlock pistols signed “Bustin Dui” on the barrels and “AR, GVI, ANO” on the locks in a 3-line small maker’s hallmark or cartouche. Measures 17” overall with 10 ¼” ringed muzzle 2 stage cannon barrels with nice chisel and gold at juncture of octagon to round. Also, many gold inlaid marks and engravings at the breech. The mounts are engraved brass with monarch’s bust on the butt. The brass sideplates show an engraved scene of a man hunting bird with flintlock fowler and dog. The locks are nicely engraved in florals and retains all original parts. The actions work well and metal surfaces are very good withlight gray to brown patina. The stocks are good with fancy raised carving and 1 pistol shows an excellent spliced in repair of wood extending approximately 3”. The carving is well defined. Correct style wooden ramrods. A very nice and large pair of miquelets dating late 18th to early 19th century. (Antique) Est.: $3000-$6000
