Eastern European short sword highly decorated in scenes of medieval battle circa 1750-1850. Measures 34 ½” overall with a 28” wide blade showing fancy chiseling and gold and silver inlay. The scabbard is alsodecorated with gold and silver with plaque work of battle scenes. The hilt is very fancy and decorated to match the panels on the scabbard. The silver grip is gold inlaid in the same design. The pommel is a cast andgilted lion head. The condition is fine to excellent. Robert Mandel the well-recognized dealer from Chicago area felt it is Hungarian made for court 1750-1850 in an earlier style. Est.: $2000-$4000
