“S. Sutherland” marked Double Barrel Percussion shotgun made in the Civil War era formerly Fred Slayton confederate arms collection sold by Little Johns in the 1990s. #66 on Slayton cloth tag on the stock. Asfound in the black condition with traces of rust and erosion on the barrels. The rib is coming up at the rear and the butt is rusty. There is some writing on the rib which is not legible other than “VA”. Measures 49”overall with 33” barrels of approximately 28 GA. The rear Ferrell is a close but not fit replacement and a period ramrod is included. The action works well. Overall fair condition showing wear from carry and use. A researchbook has recently been published on confederate shotguns and Fred Slayton recognized early their contribution to confederate arms inventories. (Antique) Est.: $600-$1200

Buyer pays all shipping including packaging, insurance 2% of invoice shipping and all duties and all fees. We ship Federal Express, we can not ship to PO Boxes. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
