Saxson “Cyclops” musket .70 caliber rifle with barrel signed in script on the tang “Krause in Herzburg” tag refers to U.S. Cartridge Co. catalog #218 case 13. The stock shows carved upside down “J R” initialsbeneath the breech on the right side. Measures 55 ½” overall with a 39” barrel. The trigger guard is stamped “2 BIC 100” with other numbers and foreign stamps. Correct style Saxson ramrod retained. #30 tag instock (Last sold Fred Slayton’s confederate arms collection by little Johns 1990s). Brown patina on barrel with light to moderate scattered pitting and erosion mostly on the breech, hammer and firing areas. The stock is good with light steel wool type cleaning but no sanding. Bands retained. This type secondary European arm was bought up in Europe by confederate agents and run in through the blockades. (Antique) Est.:$1400-$2800

Buyer pays all shipping including packaging, insurance 2% of invoice shipping and all duties and all fees. We ship Federal Express, we can not ship to PO Boxes.
