U.S. Model 1816 Flintlock Musket marked “Harper’s Ferry Arsenal and dated 1833. Measures 57 ½” overall with a 42” barrel. Original flintlock parts and well-marked lock with full eagle and U.S. stamp at center. “V P” and eagle proof on the left side of the breech. Smoot brown patina finish and good to very good metal with light erosion and minor pinprick pitting just starting. The tang is dated 1833 and a remanence of stock markbehind side plate but not legible. The stock is good plus with dings, mars, scratches and normal aging. The rod I missing. The action works well.
