Springfield Model 1870 “U.S.N.” marked .50-70 Rolling Block rifle with under mounted stud for bayonet. Original ramrod retained and the buttock is carved at the center “FAA PUE”. The metal is good with scattered rust andlight to moderate pitting. Well marked. The rear sight has a broken leaf. The ore shows strong rifling but some pitting and erosion.
