U.S. “Common Rifle” by Derringer Philadelphia arsenal converted from flintlock to percussion and dated 1842 at the rear of the lock. Nipple is screwed directly into the barrel and percussion hammer added. “U.S.”and “J H” inspection with “P” at the breech left side. The condition is good to very good metal with many marks at the rear of the barrel and no sight in the dovetail. The stock is fair to good with numerous dings,mars and compressions.
