U.S. Model 1861/63 3 band rifled musket by Bridesburg converted to cartridge by “J & G Needman” circa 1869. The stock is stamped “H.S. Ashworth” ahead of the lock. The hammer has the striker pinned to the nose and maybe a “Finnian” patent type that were used by Irish insurgents invading Canada in 1870 (Eh?). Refer Flayderman 9A-350. This rifle remains in good “Out of the Attic” uncleaned condition with coating of light rust andpatina. Some rust on butt plate that would clean. The stock is good with darkening from oil and scratches, mars, dings etc. that are all minor from military storage and use. Correct ramrod included. Good markings. Est.: $750-$1500
