Model 1855 Tower Enfield Rifle double band musket in .58 caliber dated 1862 on the lock. “41 Stamped in wood behind tang and nearly stamped in belly of the stock “Joseph Wilson” with small illegible marks behind triggerguard. All features as standard and retaining proper style rod, band, swivels, sights and small parts. Good marking on the lock and good metal surfaces with minor erosion, light rust and works well. The ladder and leaf are missing from sight and base only remains. The stock is good other than break and loss along ramrod channel in front of second band that is smoothed over from period of use. Many imported and used by both side in CivilWar. Rifling intact and not bored out. (Antique) Est.: $600-$1200
