Cased pair of percussion dueling pistols signed “D. Egg Pall Mall London” on the locks. Measures 15” overall with 9 ¾” heavy octagon sighted barrels of .52 caliber smoothbore. Nicely engraved locks and mounts. Checkered half stocks are in good quality walnuts. The pair remain in very good condition with about 50% finish evenly drifting to patina. The stocks are very good with just minor storage and handling marksand slight imperfections. The actions are crisp and the pistols are sound mechanically. The case is in good condition showing “Wooly” felt with minor impressions and normal aging. Original Egg trade label in the lid advertising maker to his majesty and his wares. Proper size flask and rods but no mold present. The exterior of the case is very good with brass carry ring and just minor aging. D. Egg was in the top tier of the 19th century London makers. 1-stock is cracked and repaired at wrist, (Antique) Est.: $3000-$6000
