British Percussion Cavalry Type Carbine Showing “V R” and “Tower” on the lock with “1844” date and “1844” Enfield arsenal marks on the left side of the breech with full British proofs. Measures 36” overall with a20 ¼” round barrel mounted with sights in .62-.64 caliber smoothbore. “C 37” stamped on the butt. Weller collection tag attached to saddle ring (Sold Bourne late 80s to early 90s). The stock is well marked with proofsand inspections. Very good plus overall with all correct parts retained.
