Rare “F.J. Bitterlich” made percussion derringer (Nashville, Tenn.) marked “F. Glassick” on the lock who was a well-known agent and supplier of arms to the confederacy during the Civil War. Measures 6 ½” overallwith a 2 3/8” octagon barrel of .46 caliber rifled. Coin silver trigger guard and side plate with German silver escutcheon and oval in butt also a plaque at the wrist. Dark brown patina finish with very good woodstock. A very original and uncleaned rare example. (Antique) Est.: $3000-$6000
