U.S. Model 1850 Officer’s Sword by Ames with matching marked scabbard inscribed in period script letters on throat “Thomas M. Willey USA, From His Friend, John E. Hulbert, June 1868, Cor Unum Viqe deversae”. The blade isnear fine with all the “frosty” etching remaining and most original polish and a few nicks on the edge. The grip and scabbard are very good plus with normal scuffs and aging with deluxe sword knot of the period. Est.:$700-$1400
