Early American “D” guard cuttless with engraved blade showing American eagle, stand of flags with liberty cap, sun, wreaths and “E Plurbus Unum” in banner along with “Honor and My Country” in large block letter onreverse. Measures 34” overall with a 29” blade. Single wire wrapped leather grip in very good condition. Brass alloy guard with deep patina. The blade shows some light gold remnants and hints of blue. The tag reads“Harry D. Berry Jr. BaltO MD” and pieces from this collection featured in “The American Sword” by Harold Peterson. Est.: $1500-$3000
