British Cavalry Officer’s Sabre of Georgian era with radically curved blade and original brass mounted leather scabbard. The blade is etched “HMM” and signed “Cyper”. The scabbard is marked in cartouche “Reddell SwordCuttler R.H. Prince of Wales, Duke of Hessen” and his London address. The condition is good with some normal aging to the blade and about half the etching. The sharkskin grips has small tatters and losses. The scabbard is good with normal wear. Early 19th century possibly Napoleonic era. Est.: $800-$1600
