American Eagle Headed Officer’s Sword retaining original scabbard and tag attached to the hilt reads “Harry D. Berry Jr., Collection, Baltimore MD,” Pieces of His Noted Collection are pictured in “TheAmerican Sword by Harold Peterson”. Measures 36” overall with a 31” wide blade retaining most of its original blue and gilt also marked “Warranted”. Ebonized wood grip with fluting. The scabbard retains some silverplate. Very good plus condition with slight staining on the blade and minor erosion and pitting just starting. The scabbard is split into 2 pieces and needs restoration but otherwise fair to good with tight seam andjust normal aging. Est.: $700-$1400
