American Revolutionary War era officer’s hanger with chiseled steel lions head pommel, flued ivory grip, and pierced guard in American style. Matching iron mounted scabbard that throat is marked and inscribed. Measures 35” overall with 29” blade showing double blood grooves. The sword is in near fine condition with minor pitting and aging on the metal and slight imperfections and wear to grip. The throat is stamped “W I” onthe front and “Cullum (Indecipherable) Arnia GA” in dotted letters of the period on the reverse. The scabbard is good plus with minor wear and aging but good seam and just minor flaking and aging. Est.: $5,000-$10,000
