Pair of early flintlock pistols with fine Brescian style pierced decorations circa 1670-early 1700s. The barrels are signed “Lazarino Cominazzo” and show fine fluting at the rear and typical rings at the muzzle.The pierce and chisel work are top quality and profuse. Original flintlock parts and nicely decorated but simple matching motifs. Original to the period ramrods with correct steel tips. Measures 19” overall with 12 ½”barrels of approximately .52 caliber smoothbore. The pistols were finely restocked during period of use in a darkened hardwood possibly ebony. The metal is in very good condition with sharp and crisp edges and belt hooks retained. An exceptional pair. (Antique) Est.: $3500-$7000
