English Percussion Cast Alloy (Britania or Tutenegg) metal pistol with bowie type blade signed “W. Chance & London” on the lock. The barrel is nicely gold inlaid in a square panel extended 3 1/6” down the barrel whichis neatly inscribed “J. Gerald Alamba CSA”. The stock shows light floral engraving and the condition is very good overall with original colors on the hammer and breach. The blade is made to also serve as trigger guard and is one piece and authentic to this pistol. #38 on .40 caliber barrel. The inscription definitely has age and is professionally accomplished as is the gold inlay but we not guarantee it to be period.In any case a rare original cutless pistol. Est.: $4000-$8000
