Pair of unusual English O/U flintlock pistols by Wilson with Werder style turn barrels and trigger guard release. The barrels are inscribed in script “Minories” London. Measures 18” overall with 12” barrels ofapproximately .52 caliber smoothbore. The stocks are raised carved with 18th century style shell designs around the tang and silver wire at the rear of the wrists. The metal surfaces are very good with naturalgray patina and sharp engraving and edges. The hammers and small parts are original. The stocks are very good with minor marks, small imperfections and aging. The ramrods are correct style with brass tips. Wilson was agood 18th century maker and we would date this pair 1760-1790s about the era of the American Revolution. (Antique) Est.: $5,000-$10,000
