British Navy Issue Sea Service Flintlock Pistol Pattern of 1777 (U.S. Revolutionary War Era) with 12” barrel in .54 caliber smoothbore. Brass mounted with Tower marked lock showing “G R” and crown with Britishproofs. Number 7 over 1 on the left side of the butt along with many small inspections and marks in the stock with 10 behind the tang in the wood. Original flintlock parts with heavy dark brown patina showing somerust erosion consistent with age and naval use. The belt hook was purposely removed. The stock is very good with minor losses and some imperfection. The ramrod has broken and is to short but of the same period. The lockworks very well. Very possibly could have been used in naval engagements in America during Revolutionary War era where the copper bottom. British fleet had a great advantage over America and French hulled slower ships.Est.: $1750-$3500
