Rare double barrel flintlock knife pistol signed “Pierto Bruni” on the barrels who worked in Milan circa approximately 1796-99. The weapon measures 24” overall with 18” clipped point blade similar to bowie knife.The barrels and mechanisms mounted on each side of the blade and mechanism exposed and fired by button triggers mounted behind the hilt. Fluted ebony grip with matching decoration on the guard and butt cap. Thecondition is very good overall with all original parts and works well. The barrels measure approximately 3 ½” and are approximately .36 caliber smoothbore. A sophisticated and exceptional oddity weaponformerly in the “Dick and Taylor Bowen” collections.
