Colt Golden Spike Frontier Scout Commemorative 22 L.R. caliber, SA revolver, Serial #2267GS. Only made in 1969, with a 6 inch barrel, blue with gold trim being hammer, trigger, screws, loading gate,cylinder, cylinder pin, and ejector rod and housing. It has beautiful grips that have been made to approximate the feel of a railroad tie. In a plastic presentation case with a molded top depicting the event. Theinterior of the case lid states, the driving of the last spike and the meeting of the engines on May 10, 1869, at Promontory Point, Utah. The gun is as new and appears unfired. Marked on left side of barrel ColtSingle Action Frontier Scout .22 L.R. with a rampant Colt on left side of frame. On right side of barrel 1869-Golden Spike-1969. Marked on top of barrel Colt's Pt. Fa. Mfg. Co. Hartford, Ct. U.S.A. Case is lined in greenvelvet that includes a gold plated railroad spike that is stamped 1869--Golden Spike--1969. The gun also comes with a commemorative booklet.
