2199 17TH C. ADRIAENUS KOCKS DELFT VASE. N/R. Covered vase polychrome painted with peacocks, butterflies, and flora. Foo dog on cloud finial. Proprietor of DeGrieksche Pottery from 1687 until he died in 1701. Adrianenus Kocks supplied Queen Mary at Hampton Court with a considerable quantity of Delftware including many imposing tulip vases. Important series of vases signed by Kocks also exist at Dyrham, Gloucestershire, and Derbyshire. Size: 22 3/4" h., 11" w., 11" d. Condition: minor chipping to edge of lid, age appropriate crazing, spider cracks to the bottom. Estimate: $10,000-15,000.
