Original Signed, Framed, and Matted, Airbrush Paintings by Eric Gill

A collectible pair of signed and framed airbrush paintings by Hawaiian Listed Artist Eric Gill.

Eric Gill was an artist who created Hawaiian inspired art from Art Deco style, images of Hawaiians to various scenes of Hawaii in the 1930's through the 1950's.

Most of his paintings were either framed or retailed through a San Francisco shop called Permalee, as this set was.

These authentically paired pieces are original and not reproductions, and are painted with Gill's inimitable airbrush technique involving cutout stencils in order to serialize production, capturing the natural grace and beauty of the Hawaiian Wahine and to capture and create the beauty of Post War Hawaii.

Eric Gill created some of the most sought after and enduring Hawaiian Vintage Imagery created during the Golden Era of travel to the Islands.

This pair appears to be of the same woman of opposite profiles, she is holding a a pair of Canastas with her dress flying through air.

The colors are greens, whites and skin tones, she is wearing a revealing shoulder strap top, with a flowing skirt.

The paintings are sealed in the frames.

These were purchased from a customer dealing with an estate.

Each image measures 16 inches x 19 inches and they are in very good condition, typical wear etc, on the outsides of the frame, but overall very decent.

The edges of the frames are scratched, nicked and dinged

The artwork itself appears to be in very good condition, Ive taken several pictures, so please refer to them before bidding.

Such a gorgeous pair! Perfect for any Mid-Century, Tiki, Hawaiian decor, Polynesian, Atomic, 40s, Fourties, or 50s, Fifties Deco.

Add this great pair to you collection today.
