A two-day event with over 1000 lots of Modern pottery, furniture, glass, lighting, rugs, art, and more. Highlighting the sale is a collection of 40 pieces of furniture by George Nakashima, most of which are from original owners and are fresh to marketplace, including the original Kornblut cabinet, consigned by members of the Kornblut family. Other furniture featured: the art furniture of Paul Evans, a very rare parlor suite by Morgan Colt, an impressive collection of early furniture by Vladimir Kagan, and a wide range of post-war, pre-war and Deco furniture by Charles Eames, Marc Held, Phillippe Starck, Hans Wegner, Finn Juhl, Gilbert Rohde, Edward Wormley, Tommy Parzinger, and George Snowden. One of the largest and finest assemblages of modern ceramics to ever appear in a mid-century auction includes work from Toshiko Takaezu, Beatrice Wood, Maija Grottell, Peter Voulkos and Richard Devore. Also being offered are monoprints, jewelry, furniture and sculptures by Harry Bertoia. The sale is rounded out by a large and diverse collection of clocks, lamps, photographs, textiles, fine art, glass and other accessories from such mid-century luminaries as Ettore Sottsass, James Mont, Picasso, Man Ray, Joseph Hoffman, Russel Wright, Alexander Calder, Arteluce, Lightolier, Pillin and many, many more.
