Struck in 2021, this American Silver Eagle Type 2 dollar coin contains one troy ounce of .999 fine silver and is graded MS70 by ANACS, indicating a flawless Mint State condition. This example is authenticated as a First Strike coin, denoting it was among the earliest struck using newly prepared dies. The obverse features the historic Walking Liberty design originally created by Adolph A. Weinman in 1916. Lady Liberty is shown striding confidently toward the rising sun, her right arm extended and draped in the American flag, with laurel and oak branches cradled in her left arm symbolizing civil and military strength. The inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the year 2021. The reverse showcases a newly introduced eagle design by Emily Damstra, showing a bald eagle with wings fully spread as it approaches a landing while grasping an oak branch in its talons. This Type 2 reverse design replaced the Heraldic Eagle motif used from 1986 through mid-2021. Surrounding inscriptions include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, and ONE DOLLAR. The coin is encased in a tamper-proof ANACS slab with a patriotic background insert and a certification number verifying its grade and status. Slab: 2.25"L x 0.5"W x 3.25"H. Coin diameter: 40mm.
