2020-S US 1oz Silver Eagle NGC PF70 UCAM FDOI
Struck at the San Francisco Mint, this 2020-S American Silver Eagle Type 1 one dollar coin is composed of 1 oz. of fine silver and is officially graded PF70 Ultra Cameo by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). This example is designated "First Day of Release" and is autographed on the label by Edmund C. Moy, who served as the 38th Director of the United States Mint from September 2006 to January 2011 under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. The obverse design, originally created by Adolph A. Weinman, features Liberty in full stride, draped in the American flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak held in her left, symbolizing strength and peace. The reverse, designed by John Mercanti, depicts a heraldic eagle behind a shield, grasping an olive branch in its right talon and arrows in its left. Above the eagle are thirteen five-pointed stars arranged in a triangular pattern, representing the original thirteen colonies. The reverse also includes the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER-ONE DOLLAR," and the "S" mintmark indicating San Francisco. Certified by NGC in a tamper-evident holder, this proof coin represents the final year of the original reverse design before its redesign in 2021. Slab: 2.25"L x 0.5"W x 3.25"H. Coin diameter: 39mm.
