2019-W American Silver Eagle Type 1 Dollar PCGS Graded PR 70 DCAM
2019-W American Silver Eagle Type 1 dollar coin struck at the West Point Mint. This coin is graded PR70DCAM by PCGS and encapsulated in a tamper-evident holder labeled "Premier, First Edition, 1 of 500." Issued as part of the "Congratulations Set," this coin is classified as a deep cameo proof with flawless surfaces and mirror-like fields. The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman's iconic "Walking Liberty" design, originally used on the half dollar from 1916 to 1947. Liberty is depicted in full stride toward the rising sun, draped in the American flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left, symbolizing civil and military glory. The inscriptions include "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," and the year "2019." The reverse, designed by John Mercanti, displays a heraldic eagle with a shield, grasping an olive branch in its right talon and arrows in its left. Above the eagle are thirteen five-pointed stars arranged in a triangular formation, representing the original thirteen colonies. The inscriptions read "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER - ONE DOLLAR," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM." The "W" mintmark is visible below the eagle's left wing. This PR70DCAM example is part of a limited First Edition of 500 certified coins, making it a notable addition for collectors of modern American coinage and proof silver eagles. Slab: 2.5"L x 0.25"W x 3.25"H. Coin diameter: 39mm.
