2018-S American Silver Eagle Type 1 Dollar PCGS Graded PR70 DCAM FDOI
2018-S American Silver Eagle One Dollar Coin, graded PR70 Deep Cameo (DCAM) by PCGS. Designated as "First Day of Issue" and certified in a sealed holder with encapsulated label. This proof coin was struck at the San Francisco Mint and features the "S" mintmark beneath the heraldic eagle on the reverse. The obverse showcases Adolph A. Weinman's iconic "Walking Liberty" design, originally used on the half dollar from 1916 to 1947. Liberty is depicted striding confidently toward the rising sun, enveloped in the American flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak cradled in her left arm. The motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the year "2018" are also inscribed. The reverse, designed by John Mercanti, displays a heraldic eagle with outstretched wings behind a shield, grasping arrows in its left talon and an olive branch in its right. Above the eagle are thirteen five-pointed stars representing the original colonies, and a banner in its beak reads "E PLURIBUS UNUM." Encircling the design are the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER - ONE DOLLAR," and the "S" mintmark. Encapsulated in a tamper-evident holder with a PCGS label signed by John M. Mercanti, 12th Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint. Slab: 2.5"L x 0.25"W x 3.25"H. Coin diameter: 39mm.
