This 2017-W American Silver Eagle one-dollar proof coin, struck at the West Point Mint in one troy ounce of .999 fine silver, has been graded PR70 Deep Cameo. The slab bears the "First Strike" designation and limited to a production of only 1,000 pieces. The obverse presents Adolph A. Weinman's iconic Walking Liberty design, featuring Liberty draped in the American flag as she strides toward the sun, symbolizing hope and freedom, and encircled with LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the year below. The reverse, crafted by John M. Mercanti, portrays the heraldic eagle with shield, olive branch, and arrows beneath a constellation of thirteen stars representing the original colonies, surrounded by UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, 1 oz. FINE SILVER - ONE DOLLAR, and "W" for its origin. Encapsulated and certified by PCGS for authenticity and preservation.
