2013 (S) American Silver Eagle Type 1 NGC Graded MS 70
One-ounce American Silver Eagle coin struck at the San Francisco Mint in 2013, certified by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) with a perfect grade of MS 70 and the Early Releases designation. This bullion coin is composed of .999 fine silver and carries a face value of one dollar. The obverse features the iconic Walking Liberty design originally created by sculptor Adolph A. Weinman, portraying Liberty in full stride with the folds of the American flag draped around her, her right hand outstretched, and her left arm bearing branches of oak and laurel. The sun rises in the background with rays extending upward, and the motto IN GOD WE TRUST appears to the right, along with the year 2013 at the base. The reverse presents a heraldic eagle with a shield, designed by former Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint, John Mercanti. The eagle clutches arrows in its left talon and an olive branch in its right, symbolizing both readiness for war and desire for peace. A ribbon across the eagle's beak bears the national motto E PLURIBUS UNUM. Above the eagle are thirteen stars representing the original colonies, and surrounding text includes UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the specifications 1 OZ. FINE SILVER-ONE DOLLAR. This specimen is securely housed in a tamper-evident NGC holder with the official Early Releases San Francisco label. Slab: 2.25"L x 0.5"W x 3.25"H. Coin diameter: 39mm.
