ENGRAVING & GOLD BORDER INLAY W/ SCOPE. Cal. 270 Win. S# 130-36231. Bbl. 26" medium weight factory bbl. has one line top address. Left side marked “MADE IN THE 200TH YEAR OF AMERICAN LIBERTY”. Bbl. is fitted w/ standard Ruger quarter rib. Breech area engraved w/ 2 3/4" triangles of scroll on each side which is accented by gold wire inlay. This treatment extends to top of muzzle end, which is also inlayed w/ 2 gold bands. Standard action is engraved w/ 80% coverage, varying sized scroll w/ in gold line borders. What appear to be factory stocks have had side panels enhanced w/ shadow lines. Buttstock is of nicely figured American walnut w/ Ruger pad, steel grip cap & point pattern grip checkering. Long forend is not figured. Rifle is mounted w/ Zeiss “Terra” 3X scope w/ duplex ranging reticle in engraved Ruger rings. CONDITION: very fine overall, as custom finished w/ nearly all lustrous blue on bbl. & action. There is a 2" area on left side of bbl. w/ some light marks & a bit of rust. Stocks retain nearly all oil refinish, which has run into checkering. There are a few scattered dings, mostly on butt. Sharp, shiny bore. Scope is very fine & optically clear.
